We take a content-first approach to SEO
Content Marketing and SEO
SEO is all about competition. Google’s algorithm is designed to rank the content that is most relevant to the user’s search term the highest. This means that if you create the best content – both in terms of quality and quantity – it will eventually rank the highest in Google. If your industry or keywords are particularly competitive then we may need to look at building out backlinks and social mentions to help give the content an extra boost – but the first step is always high-quality content.
At BeKonstructive Marketing, high-quality content creation is what we do. We create the best content in relation to a particular keyword or theme, and we load it onto your website.
This might sound simple – but it isn’t. We start by doing keyword research to discover what people are actually typing into Google. Then we move onto competitor research, where we look at what content and information is currently ranking on the first page of Google. And then we plan out the content for your website, ensuring that it is more informative and user-friendly than your competitors. Often this will involve interviewing you – the subject matter expert – to collect the information required to write a better page of content. Once all of these other steps have been completed, our copywriter will sit down and start writing your content.
We get a little bit of help from our friends
Industry Leading SEO Software
We invest in industry leading software called SEMRush to help guide our SEO activities. The software gives us a lot of really insightful data around search behaviour and search volume, keyword opportunities and content ideas. It also enables us to track not only your keywords and SEO campaign performance – but also your competitors.
Using SEMRush ensures that all our SEO activities are targeted and accurate – it takes the guess work out of what we’re doing. Everything we do is constructive and contributes to your website performing better in Google’s organic search enginge results pages.
Content that makes sense
Our SEO copywriting is good. So good that a lot of our clients use our SEO articles in their other content marketing activities such as sharing to social media or including in their email newsletters. You can read a sample of our SEO copywriting blogs here.
While the blogs, landing pages and content pages are written to target particular search terms or phrases – they are also designed to be informative, engaging and user-friendly. We research what information people are looking for, and we create content that addresses their search query while also establishing your brand as an industry thought leader. Our SEO blog articles are articles that you’ll be proud to have featured on your website.
Starter, Growth and Complete
SEO Pricing and Packages
BeKonstructive Marketing have three SEO Packages to select from – Starter, Growth and Complete. Our starter package Is a budget-friendly option ideal for small businesses who want to rank for local suburb-based searches – think ‘Port Douglas Real Estate Agent’ or ‘Aspley Florist’. Our Growth package is for medium-sized businesses who want to target broader terms or focus on more competitive location-based search terms like Brisbane, Melbourne, or Sydney – think ‘Brisbane Bathroom Renovations’ or ‘Brisbane Commercial Air Conditioning’. And our ‘Complete’ package is for businesses who are either in very competitive industries like travel or fashion, have a very broad selection of keywords that they want to rank for, or who want to turbo-charge their results. It is not uncommon for new SEO clients to start out on the ‘Complete’ package for 3-4 months to gain some fast momentum and then drop down to a ‘Growth’ or ‘Starter’ package to maintain those results. Clear, understandable keyword tracking and reporting
SEO Resources and Reporting
SEO is a complex and specialist area of digital marketing. There are so many different factors that can affect how your website performs in Google that it can be overwhelming to get your head around. Unfortunately, there are also a lot of SEO providers who know that SEO can be confusing to many, and they prey on those who don’t understand it, over charging and under delivering.
At BeKonstructive Marketing we believe in 100% transparency. We want you to understand what we are doing and why we are doing it. We go out of our way to make sure that your monthly reports are easy to follow, often creating them in video format so that we can fully explain the data and reports that you’re seeing.
In fact, we are so committed to providing clear, transparent SEO services that we have created several online resources that detail our approach to SEO. We take a very content-focused approach that doesn’t cut corners and all our SEO clients see great results – we are proud of the work that we do in this space.

SEO Brisbane FAQs
Measuring SEO results requires us to look at two core metrics – the first being rankings / positions for your chosen search terms or phrases, and the second being your overall organic website traffic.
The reason we need to measure BOTH of these metrics to know if we are achieving results is because to ensure that we are driving relevant traffic to your website.
For example, it doesn’t matter if we drive more traffic to your website if that traffic is searching for terms that are not relevant to your business or product / service offering. It also doesn’t matter if we get your onto the first page of Google for a range of keywords, if no one is actually searching for those keywords so they don’t drive any traffic to your website.
Reliable SEO reporting on results should show you how your chosen keywords are performing or ranking, AND how much additional traffic the improvement in rankings has generated for your website.
There are additional metrics that you might also want to track such as bounce rate, page views, time on page, SERP visibility, click-through-rate, backlink profile, page speed and page health – but organic traffic and keyword ranking are the most important ones.
Frankly, sometimes we find ourselves asking ourselves the same thing. SEO stands for Search Engine Optimisation, and it is how Google assess the relevance of your content to the search term/phrase that someone has typed into Google.
Google wants to make sure that when someone types something into their search engine, the most relevant websites and content appear for them to select from. As a website owner vying for a spot on the first page of Google, your choice of words, title placement, and everything in between are all part of this. Yep, writing content just got a whole lot more complicated.
Prices for SEO vary significantly through Brisbane, Australia, and the world. There is no standard benchmark of pricing, and as most customers don’t fully understand the work that is involved in SEO campaigns, it is hard to know if you are getting good value or not.
At BeKonstructive Marketing, we have three SEO packages – Starter, Growth and Complete, with pricing starting at $850 ex gst per month. You can request a copy of our SEO brochure here which outlines the package inclusions and pricing in some detail.
All our SEO pricing is based off an hourly rate and we provide transparent monthly reporting and timesheets to show you how we have allocated our time throughout the month, and the activities that we have completed.
We get asked this question a lot, and the answer will depend on your specific requirements as there are pros and cons for both SEO and Google Ads.
SEO is a long game – it builds incrementally month-on-month to start generating you more website traffic, leads and ultimately revenue over time. It is a good solution if you want to grow sustainably. Google Ads on the other hand is ideal if you need leads immediately – you can set you campaign up and start generating traffic to your website immediately. The only problem is that campaign is either ‘on’ or ‘off’ – it doesn’t work for you in the background the way that an SEO campaign does.
Another big benefit of an SEO campaign is that generally organic Google listings have a better click through rate (CTR) and conversion rate than Google Ads. Often, people who click on Google Ads are comparing price – if you aren’t offering the cheapest product or the best value for money, you may not see a lot of results. People who click on organic Google results are often looking beyond just price point as a deciding factor, wanting to know more about your brand, your quality, and your values.
We often recommend that our clients do both SEO and Google Ads if their budget allows – Google Ads will help bring in some initial revenue while we focus on building up your SEO content and getting your site to rank. Once the site ranks, you can decide whether you want to continue with both campaigns or turn Google Ads off.
How long your SEO campaign will take depends on a number of variables. For example, a brand new website on a brand new domain name is going to take a lot longer to rank than an established website on an established domain name. Another factor that will determine how long SEO takes is how competitive your industry or keywords are – if your competitors are all investing in SEO as well, it is going to be more difficult to get you ranking than if you’re the first person in your industry or geographical area really investing in SEO as a marketing channel. Selecting niche location-based keywords can also make a difference – for example it is easier to rank for the search term ‘Brisbane SEO Services’ than it is to rank for ‘SEO Services’.
When you partner with BeKonstructive Marketing for your SEO services, we will give you some initial estimates of timeframe based on the SEO package you select, the age of your website and domain name, and how competitive your keywords are. We will work with you to create a keyword list that has a mix of competitive and less-competitive terms and phrases in it to ensure that we are able to get you some initial results and traffic while we work on the harder, more competitive terms.
SEO is generally considered to be an on-going monthly service. If you operate in an industry that is not very competitive or are targeting very niche keywords, you might get away with being quite sporadic with your SEO efforts – if you’ve got good content and add new content to your website every month or so, you’ll find it fairly easy to hover around the first page of Google.
But if you are in a competitive industry where other businesses are also investing in SEO services then you will find that if you stop or pause your SEO efforts for too long, you’ll lose your rankings in Google.
It’s not all doom and gloom though – if you have good content that performs well, the decline of your Google rankings will be a slow transition. If you’re having cash flow issues and have to stop or reduce your SEO services for a month or two, you will likely see some decline, but it won’t be overnight, and it will be something you can recover from.
If you’re uncertain which SEO package will suit your needs the best, BeKonstructive Marketing can help you decide. We’ll talk to you about your budget and the ROI you need to see from your SEO Campaigns to make it worthwhile. We’ll also do some competitor and keyword research for you; based on that research we’ll outline the results you can expect to see from each monthly package so that you can make an informed decision.
SEO is a competition – if other businesses in your industry are spending 20 hours on their SEO each month, creating new blog articles and content, building out backlinks and optimising their website – you will not outrank them by spending a couple of hours here or there. That is why we always start the SEO process with competitor research so that we can determine what SEO activities they are doing, and what we will need to do to match them or better.
We’re pretty transparent about our approach to SEO. We take a very content-focused approach. While there are thousands of different criteria that form part of Google’s algorithm, most of them can be categorised into one of three areas:
- Website Health (load speed, mobile responsiveness, broken links, functionality, usability etc.)
- On-page Content (relevance of content, quality, quantity, freshness, formatting, readability etc.)
- Off-page (backlinks, social sharing, brand mentions, directory listings, referral traffic etc.)
A lot of SEO companies focus solely on the third area – off-site link building. But it isn’t enough – if you don’t have quality content to support the links, Google will eventually see through this tactic.
We are a Brisbane based SEO agency who provide our services in-house from our Brisbane CBD office. We are a team of content marketing specialists who will work to provide you with healthy, sustainable SEO campaigns.
Over our time working with our clients on their SEO, we have realised how sketchy some SEO agencies can be. We’ve heard all the horror stories about being ghosted by off-shore agencies and dodgy lock-in contracts. We have developed our service to be as transparent as possible. We have great relationships with our current clients and we are confident that they will happily provide a reference for our SEO services if you’d like to speak to some of them.
The software that we use for our SEO services – SEMRush – tracks all our keywords for us and sends us weekly and monthly reporting data.
Checking Google yourself for your website rankings is not a reliable way to test where you currently rank for any particular keyword or phrase. Our software SEMRush gathers all of the data from each user and averages it out for us, to give us a much clearer and accurate picture of how you are performing in Google than any manual human-based testing can provide.
Google’s algorithm incorporates computer learning to help determine how to rank pages in its search engine results pages. Computer learning looks at how you as a user engage with different websites and content throughout the internet and adjusts your search results accordingly. For example, you and your co-worker could be sitting next to each other and type in ‘Brisbane SEO Specialist’ into Google at the exact same time and find that only 50-60% of the results on the page are the same for both of you. Plus, if you usually prefer to watch video content that would rank higher in your results than long-form articles.
My website is always top of my Google searches – why do you say it ranks past the second page of Google?
If you are logging into your website on a regular basis, then you are much more likely to see your website appear higher in your search results than someone who has never used your website before – because Google is trying to anticipate your needs and desires, and knows you regularly visit that website so will try to make your life easier by ranking it higher. You also have to take into account geographical location of the searcher as well as the specific filters and settings that each user has on their browser.
Local search refers to location-based searches, especially those with a small geographical area such as a suburb, neighbourhood, shire or council area. Some examples would be ‘Fortitude Valley SEO company’, ‘Morton Bay Florist’ or ‘highly recommended Aspley café’.
Local search provides some of the easiest and highest converting keywords for small local businesses to target in their SEO campaigns. Simply, local search SEO campaigns help drive potential customers who are ready to buy to your business.
Our entry-level SEO campaigns focus heavily on local search terms to help generate ROI for your search campaign as quickly as possible. You can learn more about local SEO in some of our recent blog articles below, or request a copy of our SEO packages and pricing brochure here.
