BeKause Marketing our Brisbane marketing internship program. It is an initiative where we partner marketing interns with not for profit clients. It provides young workers with relevant industry experience in a fair and legal manner while also providing NFP organisations with free content marketing assistance.
Brisbane Internship Program
January 2024 UPDATE:
We are currently only able to take on marketing interns that are completing their internship as part of a structured university course.
Our full BeKause Marketing Internship program is currently on hold as it is being restructured. We are also looking for new NFP partnerships to join the program, enabling us to fulfil the learning outcome requirements of the program. We have temporarily paused the program until we have everything in place to re-launch – we are hoping this will be mid-2024.
Until that time, we are only able to accept applications from current university students who are completing their internship as part of their university course work. In these instances, the university covers some of the insurance and compliance requirements, and there is also more flexibility in the types of work/projects that we are able to build your learning outcomes around.

What is BeKause Marketing?
At BeKonstructive Marketing, we are passionate about providing young workers with the fair, legal work experience that they need to land their first full-time job in the industry. Brisbane marketing internships can be few and far between, and young workers often feel obligated to accept work experience positions that don’t meet FairWork standards and legal requirements.
BeKause Marketing has been established to enable us to take on more unpaid interns, providing them with relevant industry experience in a fair, legal manner – all while working with some great Australian not for profit organisations doing amazing things in the social sector!
Past NFP Partners
Share the Dignity is an amazing Australia-wide not for profit based in Brisbane who are working towards ending period poverty. Their major campaign drives include ‘Dignity Drives’ (you might have seen their pink drop-off boxes in your local Woolworths or Coles supermarket) and their pre-Christmas campaign, ‘Its in the Bag’.
BeKause are partnering with Share the Dignity to provide a range of content marketing services including blogging, copywriting, social media posting and more.
Reason To Thrive is an Australian not for profit based in Brisbane’s Western Suburbs. Through Equine Assisted Learning, Reason To Thrive provides personal development and life-skills programs to support youth at risk of disengagement as well as women who’s lives have been impacted by domestic violence.
BeKause are partnering with Reason to Thrive to help create content for their social media accounts.
Down Syndrome Queensland is a not-for-profit organisation based in Queensland that provides expert advice and quality services to people with Down syndrome, their families and the wider community. By providing practical and emotional support, it is their mission to empower individuals with Down syndrome to fulfil their potential now, and for their future.
BeKause are partnering with Down Syndrome Queensland to assist with their content marketing such as copywriting, social media posting and blogging.

Become a BeKause Marketing NFP Partner:
While we continue to grow our BeKause Marketing program we have the capacity to work with a small handful of not for profit clients at any single time. There are so many worthy not for profit clients, and while we would love to work with each and every one of you, we need to ensure both our interns and clients are getting the most value out of our program.
So to figure out if we’re the right fit for each other, we have a few selection criteria:
- Brand / Cause Synergy: While we are open to working with any not for profits, organisations working to help women, youth, and indigenous causes are particularly close to our heart.
- Brisbane based not for profits: The ability for our interns to have face-to-face meetings with people from your organisation is a huge plus.
- Require Content Marketing Assistance: The core services that our Interns will be providing include social media posting and scheduling, blogging, copywriting and content-based SEO.

Become a BeKause Marketing Intern:
Our BeKause Marketing Internships are unpaid.
They are designed specifically to help you gain the work experience that many entry-level paid marketing positions require. They are suitable for students who are in their final years of a marketing, creative industries, creative writing, PR, communications or similar degree, as well as those who have recently completed their studies.
We do not guarantee a paid position with BeKonstructive Marketing at the end of your internship. We do guarantee practical training and skills development in content creation, copywriting, social media management, SEO and email marketing. You will have a lot of input and control over the learning outcomes of the program, and if you are doing the internship as part of a University Course, we are happy to meet the requirements of your course outcomes.
